Architectural technologists and technicians
Required education and/or training:
         To become an architectural technologist and technician, you must complete a diploma in architectural technology by first taking a 1 to 2-year technician program, or a 2 to 3 year technician program. Required training in design and computer-aided design (CAD) software is included.

Main duties:
         An architectural technologist and technician's job is to assist architects in designing, carrying out, and supervising the building projects. They must make sure the designs meet building code regulations, play as representatives of the architects on the building sites, and prepare a list of instructions and cost estimates for builders.

If you take any other program, you may become a landscape architect by going into a 3-year master's degree in landscape architecture (MLA). There are also 2-year master's programs for students who have their BLA.

Required education and/or training:
          Interior designers require a high school diploma. After that, they will be required to gain approximately 6 or 7 years of work experience before being able to work as a certified interior designer.

Main duties:
          Interior designers meet with their clients and design, often redoing living rooms, bathrooms, kitchens and bedrooms. They do, however, modify places such as restaurants and banks, too.

          Construction inspectors revise blueprints to check if the structures are stable and follow building codes and regulations. They also visit the construction sites at different time periods to make sure the plans are being followed.
